Hello people!
its been a very tiring weekend for all of us who went for the DSA 24hr bikeathon on saturday all the way till sunday. my butt still kinda hurts man -_-
nevertheless, it was pretty much of a success. kudos the comm serv subcomm for making the event a success =)

reached the event venue as early at 11, 1hr and 30mintues ahead of the actual start of the event, to get assigned into our different teams for the DSA CHALLENGE.

and pretty soon, we went in our teams to get our team and team number "tatoo-ed" by a permanent marker on top of our right arm.

gathered around the foyer playing games and chatting before 12.30pm. AND WAH LA! the event finally kicked off at 12.30, with the DSA clients being the ones who kick start the event. cycling for around 5-6mins, a considerable duration for them.
next up, it was off to our own CSCC peeps to cycle.
it wasn't a easy feat though, each gym bike was fitted with a display set to show the distance you cycled. and at the start of the event, the organizers forgot to change the resistance of the bike. causing most of us to have strenuous time at the start of the event -_-"'

&
president working hard for the event.
The rest of us who weren't cycling were shown into our participants' room
a huge room with minimal furniture, only a couple of sofas and tables placed tidily along the sides of the walls.
but still, it was enough for us to have a good rest at the end of the night.
the second group of team members were up next, waiting patiently behind their designated bikes before the start.
moments later, they were on the bike, doing their bit for the charity. Though considered slow as compared to the other seasoned teams of bikers, it was still quite exhausting having to cycle kilometers on the bike at one go.
and while we were busy cycling, the DSA clients also had their share of fun =)
dancing to the moves taught by a mentor on stage. lunch was up next, and we were treated to sesame balls and fried bee hoon at the participants room, with tea, coffee and iced water as our thirst quencher.
fried bee hoon never tastes so good.
took turns to pedal the bike, while those who weren't cycling took a break.
AND OMG! SCANDAL!
Malcolm also wanting a part of the action
pretty soon, it was night, and many some of the CSCC peeps who weren't staying overnight had to leave, leaving a small group of around 18 of us behind, an average of 3 per bike till Sunday.
Some of the seniors actually took the pain of having to cycle more so that we could have longer sleeping hours =)
cycled throughout the night, cycling as long as 2hrs at one point.
and some had to resort to sleeping even while waiting because of the fatigue.
and by the time morning came, most of us were already ZZZZZzzzzzzz-ing
finally came to the end of the event on Sunday, and thought we did'nt made it to the top ten for the total distances covered. We still did a pretty good job.
was treated to a buffet reception after the event ended.
one of the best meals we ever had.
went home straight after that, for a good rest after the 24hrs of torture.
